It is finally warm enough here to be in the garden and here I am trying to water my roses and make my yearly addition to my own little outdoor space. Each year, I add a little bit more. One year I add tulips, the next a few more roses. My budget does not allow everything I want to do to be done all at once, so I pick away at my list bit by bit, year by year. Like my housework, I do dress up for gardening - light gardening that is. Dressing up makes me feel a little more productive. Today's look is a reproduction shirtwaist dress from Rock n' Romance and one that you have seen before - many times. Over top is a cotton apron that I made myself from an Eva Dress Pattern. It is the one-yard apron and is one of my favorite sewing patterns for an apron. When I'm doing housecleaning or light gardening, I wear an apron - it keep my clothes clean and when I want to wipe my hands off, guess what I use . . . You guessed it, the apron.
