My Vintage Brunch

 


*Sigh* My vintage style brunch never happened; due to the weather it was cancelled the morning of. Bummer, right? Oh well, that's what happens in the winter . . .It was what it was, but the food and effort was not wasted. My dad and I had it for lunch that day and the day after that. The food was delicious and the new recipes that I tried turned out very good, I will be saving them to make again in the future. So, what was on my brunch menu anyways?  For the occasion, I made a mushroom and cheddar quiche, a honey ham, caraway seed scones, and little apple twists. Personally, I like to find a balance between sweet, and savory and this menu was a fine balance in the end. Did the day go like I had planned? No, but it was still a pretty good day, and I am going to keep the crepe paper decoration up for a while to enjoy them.
