A 40s Look with Pink and Red and Navy

It is Spring and it is starting to get warmer out. So warm in fact that I was actually about to go without this navy blue 1940s swing coat. Wow! This look was made using deep reds, pinks, and then hints of ivory with the blouse and gloves. I adore this beet red suit; it is one of my favorites and one that I tend to wear the most. For this wearing, I chose this pink straw and floral tilt hat. I found this hat last spring. With this outfit I am also wearing something I have not worn in ages, my vintage seashell brooch and matching screw back earrings.

I found this set years ago and it has been in its box for so long. I decided it was high time I take it out and let is have its moment in the sun. I think vintage seashell jewelry is amazing and the time it must have taken to make even more so. just imagine sitting there dying and arranging and gluing all those little shells together to create a floral arrangement. I cannot imagine how long this must have taken.
