One of my "wish list" items was a basic dress in a plum or purple. Earlier this year I found it! Sometimes the best items are the simple ones and that is what I have been focusing one as of late for my wardrobe. I want dresses that I can pair with accessories with ease which means a lot of care in choosing simple lines. Over the winter, I invested in a few books I had wanted for a long time, books about modeling and wardrobe building for models. All the content was speaking the same language - choose a few good pieces that are simple in line and flattering in color that can do double duty with lots of accessories. So, taking that advice to heart, I have been decluttering my wardrobe and taking those funds to reinvest in a few well-chosen pieces. So far it has been an experience and a good one too. I am looking at my vintage collection in a new way - focusing on a few good quality pieces rather than quantity and trying to collect as much vintage as possible.
