1950s Leopard Trimmed Dress

 

I bought this for myself for Christmas last year when it went on sale from Fab Gabs vintage. I love a touch of leopard print in the form of accessories and subtle dress trims like this. This dress is a homemade 1950s dress in this warm mustard wool. The leopard trim is a velveteen. So far, this has been a colder than usual spring and this dress has really been coming in handy. I will never know who made this dress but know that I adore it. It is so well made and the little touches of leopard velveteen at the collar, wrists, and along the pockets is so smart.
