My Easter Bonnet

 

Easter is my favorite holiday. It's a reminder of restarting, refreshing, and that spring is here. I find Easter to be a more low-key holiday too, at least for me. You see, as much as I love to cook, for Easter I order a meal in, so I just heat and serve. It makes my life easier because between all the farm work, housework and everything in between, I find cheating on the family meal a great way to go. And it is guarantee it is delicious too. Easter is also my favorite because of all the flowers coming up, breaking through the earth. I read somewhere that flowers are scientifically proven to make one happier. If that is true, and I hope that it is, then Easter is a happy holiday. Flowers make me feel so happy to be alive and isn't that a beautiful feeling? 

Every Easter I have my own tradition; I buy a new hat. I call it my Easter bonnet. I also use it an excuse to buy a hat that is usually slightly over my usual budget but one that I know I am going to be nuts about years from now. This year my Easter bonnet is a yellow and peach floral tilt hat with delicate black netting. I LOVE it! I am wearing it with my yellow clutch coat and my eggshell blue dress from the House of Foxy. black patent heels and bag complete the look with white gloves.  For that fun metallic touch, my Champagne bubble clip (that's what I call it now) from Vivaciouslady Vintage.
