For the Love of Shoe Clips!

 

So, this fall I had an incredible opportunity to pick up a great piece, or pieces, of vintage. Shoe clips! Shoe clips are incredible? You bet they are! Let me explain why. . . .With a couple shoe clips you can take a classic and basic shoe into one that is WOW! You can cake a basic heel from day wear to evening. You can give a simple shoe a little extra pizzazz and a shoe clip is a great little touch to make something truly unique and you. Shoe clips can also really stretch your shoe wardrobe. You can dress up one pair of heels with multiple sets of clips and bang! It's like having a whole new set of shoes. 

This fall, I picked out over 10 pairs of dead stock shoe clips from the basement of a specialty grocery store. . I can elaborate. The original building was actually a shoe store and when it closed, its dead stock inventory went into the attic. Time passed and eventually it became a specialty grocery store. The owners of the grocery decided it was time to clean out the attic and they moved the dead stock into the basement. When I showed up, the lady working noticed my attire and suggested I check out their vintage selection downstairs. She thought I may find something I would like, and she was right!! 

Among all the pairs of shoe clips, some had their original packaging. Yes! Their original wrappings! I was so excited picking them over and I chose ones that I knew would work with the shoes I already had. I also picked out a variety - clips with bows, clips with silver buckles, and clips with bars. I also picked ones in black, brown, and navy. I wanted the ultimate variety. In this post, every shoe has a shoe clip so you can see which ones I picked out. Since my goal this year is to enjoy my whole wardrobe and wear what I have, these shoe clips are really going to help me expand my shoe selection.
