Found in a local antique shop that features multiple vintage dealers, this navy blue 1950s cocktail dress is paired with a cream silk faille evening coat for dramatic effect. What I love about this dress is how unique the bodice is. The bodice features a unique neckline, bead work, and an interesting swag over the bust. The frock was like nothing I had seen before, and the price was right. I had to have it. Lucky for me, it paired beautifully with this silk evening coat with large sleeves and a sweeping hemline. The coat was found months before the dress at the same shop, and I think they are a beautiful match. Although the dress did not come with a belt, I was fortunate enough to have one that matched fairly well.
