I have some pieces that I keep in my wardrobe all year. To keep them up to date as the holidays approach I do dress them up with some key accessories. This is an example of how I do it. This dress is one of those reproduction pieces I bought from Revival Vintage UK and is actually a Rock n Romance branded dress. I loved the colors, the print, and the material. I wear it all year but this wearing it has a more festive touch. I added a holiday element to it by playing with green as an accent color in the shoes, a beaded necklace and felt homemade corsage. Next time I can add red to pick up another holiday color and a new set of accessories.
Now that I have reduced my wardrobe significantly, I have been enjoying finding new ways to wear what I already have in the closet by playing with my accessories. So far, it's been a lot of fun and a great brain exercise in creativity too. So far, I have played with color pairings that I normally would not have tried with this dress. having less to wear makes wearing what I have so much easier and more fun too.
