To kick off my summer I am wearing a light and fresh look of separates. The blouse was one I found last year from Wars End Shop. It's a white cotton number with white embroidery across the front. The blouse is so simple, and I suspect is a homemade item as well. There are no tags or markings to suggest it was a store-bought number. As for the skirt, that one I know is home made because I made it. I used a bold print from Telalinda fabrics and paired it with a pattern from Eva Dress. . . Well, part of a pattern actually. The pattern was for a shirtwaist dress and I used only the skirt portion. When I saw the fabric from Telalinda, I really liked it but I had no idea what I would do with it. I delayed purchasing a length of it because I did not have any plans for it but then I decided to just get one yard before it sold out. Once I had it, I thought a skirt would be a good project and I am very pleased with the end result. I can wear it as it is with a good plain blouse or pair it with some of the suit jackets. I do really like the print and I may go back and get more once I figure out what I want to do with it.
I want to take some time to say thank you for supporting my move to this new blog and FB page. I wanted a fresh new start and decided it was just time to do it. I am very much looking forward to moving forward and all the new adventures that will follow.
