A Patriotic Red

 

I am continuing on with my patriotic theme here this time with a bright lipstick red dress from the 1950s. The full skirt is enough to accommodate a petticoat if I want one but I decided against it for this wearing. I liked it enough as it was. If you look closely, the skirt it dotted with rhinestones, another reason why this is the perfect patriotic red dress, it has spangles! With it I chose bright white in the form of my shoes, hat and belt. I wanted a contrast to stand out against the white. The hat is from the 1950s and has become a fast favorite - probably the colors and the fact that is it so pretty for summer. The pumps? Another summer favorite of mine so far which came from BAIT Footwear.
