The Beauty of a Basic Black Suit

 

I feel like a moody teenager saying this, but I do wear a lot of black and it's because black clothes are really unbeatable and can give an instant vibe. Black clothes can go with everything too from chic plain hats to bold and fun-loving floral tilt hats. When my other black suits no longer fit, I went on a quest to find another, and boy did I. I found this black silk faille suit in one of my local haunts. For this wearing, I chose a floral 1940s tilt hat with roses in different shade of pink and purple, black suede pumps, and neutral bone colored fabric gloves. 

When my other black suits stopped fitting, I was pretty bummed out, but I had owned and wore them for many, many years and back when I was in High School no less. There is a silver lining about not being able to wear some clothes any longer though, it's an opportunity to find something to wear that maybe better *suits* where you are in life (catch that pun I dropped on there?). Although I have had to pass on those other pieces, I am really happy with their replacements which I think better suit me now.
