Plaid to be Back

I am slowly starting to feel like my old self . . .It's going to be a long process that I know but with each day . . . I am getting there. Today I am showing off another new item that has entered my closet. It is the plaid red Socialite suit from Revival. I bought this one because a friend was looking for reproduction 1940s clothes. I hate to recommend something unless I have tried it out on myself first so I went ahead and took the plunge. When I ordered it, I ordered based on my measurements and their size chart. It fit great when I bought it but since then I lost a lot of weight. I did take the suit in, but I will probably leave it as is for now even though I could take it in some more.  Kinda figures. . . even when I was sorting through my closets, I decided to keep a few things simply because they now fit.

This is a nice suit, gotta admit. I like the color, and it's got huge pockets. It is from the Socialite collection so it is based off an original suit which I love. With it, I chose browns - an original 1940s brown hat with oversized brim and brown shoes and gloves. The brooch is from Vivaciouslady Vintage and is a great wooden duck. It's bold and just my style.
