To celebrate the season, I have another 40s look that I think oozes sophisticated. It is a simple rayon dress in dark blue navy with these decorative tabs. to accent the tabs, rhinestones star bursts. The dress buttons down the front and features a matching belt. When I first saw this dress, I loved it! I did not realize until I brought it home that the rhinestone starbursts were actually brooches! I could remove them if I wanted to, but I want to keep them right where they are. This got me to wondering though. When this dress was first made, did it have the rhinestone features as a part of the original design or did some clever lady add them herself?
